George Wood has been located and is safe. The Silver Alert has been cancelled.
AS PREVIOUSLY RELEASED:
The Kingsport Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing elderly man by the name of George Wood. George is an eighty-two (82) year old white male who is 5’7″ tall and weighs approximately 133 lbs. George has grey hair and brown eyes. George was last seen wearing a checkered multi-colored shirt, brown or black slacks, and black shoes. George was last seen on January 16th, 2026, at approximately 5:00 PM. George may be driving a silver 2016 Toyota Corolla with the following Tennessee license plate: BFV4296. George’s vehicle was last seen in Cleveland, Tennessee, on January 16th, 2026, at 9:00 PM. George has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.
