Subdivisions
All new subdivisions and replats of property in the City of Kingsport’s Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) must be approved by the Kingsport Regional Planning Commission. All subdivisions within the UGB, as defined by the Tennessee Code Annotated, are regulated by the City of Kingsport’s Minimum Subdivision Regulations and Minimum Design Standards. Whenever you want to divide or combine a property, or merely shift a property line, please check with the Planning Department to see if you are subject to the subdivision law.
