In response to the resounding and passionate voices of Lynn Garden residents, both current and past, and community stakeholders, the City of Kingsport has commissioned a comprehensive corridor enhancement study to address pressing issues of space activation, public safety, and community and economic development. One of Kingsport’s original neighborhoods, Lynn Garden still holds immense historical and cultural significance. Over decades of market shifts and resulting disinvestment, the community currently experiences many vacant and underutilized spaces, visual blight, and limited economic opportunities. In light of current circumstances, the City has embarked on a proactive journey to collaboratively reimagine the potential of Lynn Garden. Lynn Garden together aspires to craft a multi-faceted vision that honors the community’s heritage while fostering its evolution. Through a blend of market-driven land use and community design recommendations and prioritized actions, the study endeavors to elevate Lynn Garden into a symbol of resilience, unity, and progress for generations to come.
