GENERAL NARRATIVE |
On June 20, 2014 at approximately 2:30 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to Indian Path Medical Center to speak to a victim of an assault. Upon their arrival, they spoke with Raffael Fansano, who had been transported there by Sullivan County E.M.S. to receive treatment for a laceration on his forehead.
Mr. Fansano told the officers that approximately 30 minutes earlier he had been riding his bicycle in the 1000 block of New Beason Well Road in Kingsport when an unknown individual threw an unidentified object out of the window of a passing motor vehicle. He stated that the object in question struck him in the head, resulting in the aforementioned injury. Mr. Fansano advised that the vehicle appeared to be a newer model sports car that was white in color; however, he was not able to provide a license plate number. He indicated that the vehicle was occupied by two younger white males. Investigators responded to the area where the assault was alleged to have occurred; however, thus far they have been unable to locate the thrown object, uncover any new information, or develop any suspects in this case. Detectives are asking for anyone who might have witnessed this incident or who may have any information which may help them solve the case to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. |
