Kingsport Parks and Recreation offers Cell Phone 101 class
The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is offering a special Cell Phone 101 class next week to help folks become more comfortable and knowledgeable in using their cell phone.
This one-day class will take place in the Eastman Conference Room at the V.O. Dobbins, Sr. Complex (301 Louis Street) on November 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The class is free and open to anyone ages 18 and older.
This easy, relaxed class will show you step-by-step how to make calls, send text messages, adjust the volume and add contacts to your cell phone. The class will also cover how to take and view photos, connect to Wi-Fi and use a few helpful apps.
Note – The class will cover both Apple and Samsung cell phones.
“Cell phones, particularly smart phones, are constantly adding new apps and features and with each new upgrade, sometimes users have to relearn some of the basic functions,” said Program Coordinator Michael Morris. “So, bring your phone to follow along. No question is too small. Our goal is to help you feel confident and in control of your phone.”
