Kingsport Parks and Recreation hosting Disc Golf Tournament
The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Disc Golf Tournament later this month at the Eagle’s Nest course in Borden Park.
The tournament will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on September 27 and include five different divisions – Competitive (Men & Women), Recreation (Men & Women) and 17 and Under (Combined). Prizes will be awarded to the top three players in each division.
Entry fee is $15 per person, and players of all ages are encouraged to sign up. The Eagle’s Nest disc golf course is an 18-hole course located within Borden Park (901 Lamont Street). All players should meet at the shelter closest to the basketball court and community center.
“Disc golf is a fun and inexpensive sport that is also relaxing and extremely challenging,” said Program Leader Michael Brosenne. “If you want to see just how good you are, then we encourage you to come out and throw with some of the best players in our region.”
