Update – Temporary Lane Closure along Industry Drive

A section of Industry Drive will continue to be closed through February 3 for a contractor to perform sanitary sewer rehab work for the City of Kingsport.

The section of Industry Drive that will remain closed will be the northbound lane from just past Wheatly Street to Brickyard Park Drive.

Morgan Contracting, Inc. is the contractor performing this work and the additional closure time is necessary to allow the bypass pumps to operate around the clock. Employees will be on site to observe the pumps at all times.

The work is part of Kingsport’s Phase 1 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project of 2022. The construction zones will be marked by signs and directed by automated flagger devices (when required). Motorists are asked to use caution in this area during this time.
