General Narrative |
Kingsport Police Detectives are working to identify three suspects in a felony shoplifting incident at a local department store.
On December 15, 2013 at approximately 9:00 PM, three suspects shoplifted multiple items from Belk, located in the Kingsport Town Center, at 2101 Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport. The suspects loaded up a shopping cart with several Polo brand items, multiple tablet computers, and other merchandise and wheeled their loot out of the store without paying. They fled the Kingsport Town Center in a silver Audi 4-door sedan with a glass moon roof. The total value of the stolen items exceeds $2,000. The suspects are described as two black males and one black female. They were captured on surveillance video, and photos are included in this release. The actual video is available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the links below: The group of suspects was also spotted acting suspicious at both local Wal-Mart locations later the same evening. Managers at both stores stated that when they confronted the suspects, they retreated to the same described silver Audi 4-door sedan that they used to escape the earlier incident at Belk. They were caught on Wal-Mart surveillance footage as well. Detectives are hoping that the public can help them identify any or all of these suspects. Anyone who may know their identities or have any additional information that may help with this investigation is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. For additional information, please contact: P.I.O. Thomas M. Patton K.P.D.
