GENERAL NARRATIVE |
On June 19, 2015 at approximately 7:00 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to K-Mart, located at 1805 East Stone Drive in Kingsport, in reference to an armed robbery of the store’s pharmacy. The initial investigation revealed that an unknown suspect threatened pharmacy personnel with what was believed to be a handgun and demanded specific prescription medications. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed type and quantity of prescription medications.
K.P.D. Detectives were called to the scene to investigate. A review of surveillance video revealed a white male suspect, possibly in his twenties, with dark hair and facial stubble, wearing a red ball cap backwards, a long sleeved white t-shirt, a black vest, baggy dark colored jeans, and dark colored shoes. Photos of the suspect taken from surveillance video footage have been included in this release. A clip of the actual surveillance video has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D.
