KPD e-News Release: Detectives Asking for Assistance in Identifying Couple Suspected in Felony Shoplifting
GENERAL NARRATIVE |
On May 8, 2014 at approximately 9:50 PM, a white male and white female couple shoplifted merchandise from Wal-Mart, located at 2500 West Stone Drive in Kingsport.
The suspects damaged a locked enclosure in the Automotive Department, giving them access to two Pioneer CD/DVD combination players with a combined value in excess of $500. They carried the items to the Lawn and Garden Department, where they opened the packages and concealed the contents in the front pocket of the male suspect’s hooded sweatshirt. The couple then left the store and completed their getaway in a red Chevrolet Cavalier 4-door sedan. A photo of the suspect captured on store surveillance video is included in this release.
