Enjoy a round of Birdie Ball at Borden Park this summer
Kingsport Parks and Recreation is offering a brand new golfing event later this summer at Borden Park.
The event is called Birdie Ball – an adaptive game of golf that uses a special, practice ball designed to fly only about 40 yards.
Birdie Ball will be held at Borden Park on September 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Participants will play 18 holes of golf while attempting to score as low as they can. Participants will need to bring their own golf club, but any style club is allowed to play, from wedge to short irons.
The registration fee is $15 per person and the event is open to everyone ages 16 and older.
“We’re always looking to try out new and different activities for our residents, so we believe folks will be excited to try their hand at Birdie Ball,” said Program Coordinator Nate Williams. “It’s easy to learn yet challenging to master. It should be a blast for players of all ages.”
