GENERAL NARRATIVE |
On August 4, 2015 at approximately 4:00 PM, a white male suspect shoplifted 25 cans of Similac baby formula and a large pack of diapers from Wal-Mart, located at 2500 West Stone Drive in Kingsport. The total value of the stolen property was $665. Loss prevention officers spotted him leaving the store; however, they were unable to successfully apprehend him. He fled the scene in a black Ford Contour or Taurus 4-door sedan.
Photos of the suspect and his vehicle taken from surveillance video footage have been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to contact K.P.D. Detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. On the morning of August 9, 2015, shortly after 6:00 AM, at least two unknown suspects broke into two construction storage containers, located at 812 Lynn Garden Drive in Kingsport. Over $15,000 in Snap-On and Mac tools, along with assorted vehicle parts and heavy equipment batteries, were stolen during the burglary.
A review of surveillance video footage from nearby businesses determined that the suspects were traveling in an older model dark colored Dodge Durango sport utility vehicle pulling a large white single-axle box trailer. Photos of the suspects’ vehicle and trailer are included in this release. Anyone who recognizes this vehicle and/or trailer or who may have any information which may assist detectives in solving this case is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
