SUBJECT: Inclement Weather Conditions

GENERAL NARRATIVE
The Kingsport Police Department would like to provide citizens with the following update regarding the ongoing inclement weather and our adjustments to wintery conditions.

Our officers are still responding to emergencies and crimes in progress.

Reports involving incidents that have already occurred, where there is no active emergency in progress, are being handled via phone when practicable.

Officers are handling vehicle collisions as they come in, but we are not seeing a significant increase in collisions.

The Kingsport Police Department would like to remind the public to avoid travel when possible, and if you must drive, then we ask that you use extra caution for your safety and the safety of others.
