Responding Officers, determined that the vehicle had been involved in a collision and discovered that the driver, identified as Wendy Annette Ramsey, was deceased. The K.P.D. Traffic Unit was subsequently called to the scene to investigate. Their findings thus far are as follows:

A beige 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, driven and believed to be solely occupied by Ms. Ramsey, was northbound on John B. Dennis Highway and attempting to negotiate a curve, when for unknown reason(s) the vehicle left the right side of the roadway. The vehicle traveled down an embankment and struck a tree.

This incident remains under investigation by the K.P.D. Traffic Unit. As the crash was not discovered until well after the fact, Investigators do not know exactly when it occurred. Anyone who may have witnessed this event is asked to contact the K.P.D. Traffic Unit at 423-224-2750.
