Ways to Pay Your Water Utility Bill
Kingsport’s new Customer Information System (CIS) is now live and available for customers to use. Residents can now pay bills, report issues and access their account information easier than ever before.
Kingsport Utilities has launched a new mobile app and web portal, called Kingsport Utilities, which will be your gateway to all things related to your city utility services. Here, you can view recent bill images, make payments, create and track service requests, update records and receive communications in a simple and modern way. Please note – If you pay your bill via bank draft or auto-pay, you will need to re-enroll through the new portal. There are no late fees during this transition period. No actions are needed if you pay in person, over the phone, by check, or use the drop box or JACK kiosk.

Pay Online
Visit the Customer Portal to pay online using:
- Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express credit and debit cards
- Checking or savings account
- PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, Apple Pay, and Google Pay digital wallets
Kingsport Utilities App
Using this free app, customers can view recent bill images, make payments, create and track service requests and more.
AutoPay
Set it and forget it! Enroll in AutoPay through the Customer Portal to ensure your bill is paid on time each month—no reminders needed.
Pay at CVS, Walgreens & Dollar General Locations*
- Using the Kingsport Utilities app, select the “$Cash” as the payment method
- Choose your preferred retail location
- Receive a unique barcode & bring it into store to be scanned at checkout
- Indicate payment amount & pay your bill
*A $2.95 transaction fee applies
Pay at Walmart Locations*
- Visit the Walmart Money Center or financial service desk
- Tell the associate you’d like to pay your bill using Walmart Bill Pay
- Provide your utility account number & amount you wish to pay
- Pay using cash, debit, or UCards

Pay at City Hall
You can pay your bill at the following locations:
- 415 Broad St., Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 24/7 Self-Service Kiosk: Located at 415 Broad St., Drive-thru Lane 1, accessible from New St.
- Dropbox: Located at 415 Broad St., Drive-thru Lane 2, accessible from New St.

Pay by Mail
Send your payment using the return envelope included with your water utility bill. If you don’t have the envelope, mail payments to:
