CASE #: 23-025221, 23-025230
GENERAL NARRATIVE
On 12/29/2023 around 8:35 PM, the Kingsport Police Dept. responded to a report of an SUV attempting to strike a pedestrian and possible shots being fired on Harrison Ave. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male victim who advised his girlfriend, identified as Mary Bombailey( 36 year old female), had shot at him with a handgun outside the residence. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is leading the death investigation in Virginia. Ms. Bombailey’s body has been sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke, VA with autopsy results pending.
