GENERAL NARRATIVE |

|
On Monday August 7th at 6:19 AM the Kingsport Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 81 northbound at the 64 mile marker. Due to the nature of this crash, the KPD Traffic Unit responded to the scene. This remains an active scene with the investigation on going. Northbound traffic between the 63 and 65 mile markers has been reduced to one lane. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and seek an alternate route. Additional details will be released at an appropriate point in the investigation. |
