Section of Kingsport Greenbelt to be temporarily rerouted

A section of the Kingsport Greenbelt will be temporarily rerouted next week to accommodate nearby repair work taking place on the Clinchfield Street bridge.

Greenbelt traffic will exit the greenbelt at the sidewalk connection to W. Ravine Road just east of the Holston Valley Drive parking lot. The reroute will then head south down the sidewalk to the sidewalk connection at Cherokee Village Drive, east of Clinchfield Street.

The reroute will then head west on Cherokee Village Drive to Clinchfield Street, taking a left onto Clinchfield Street south until W. Sullivan Street, where greenbelt traffic will proceed on its normal route.

The reroute will take place the week of August 3-7 and if all of the necessary work is complete, this section of the greenbelt will reopen the afternoon of August 7. The City of Kingsport appreciates your patience during this time.
