SUBJECT: | K.P.D. Searching for Burglars Who Stole Dirt Bikes and Weedeaters | ||
DATE: | May 6, 2020 | ||
CASE #: | 20-008338 | ||
GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
Sometime between April 13 and 16, 2020 an outbuilding behind a residence in the 1400 block of Sycamore Street in Kingsport was burglarized. During the burglary, nearly $4,500 in personal property was stolen. Among the stolen items were two Honda youth dirt bikes (one 110cc and one 50cc) and two Stihl string trimmers. A photo of the actual stolen dirt bikes has been provided with this release. (Please note that the individuals shown riding the dirt bikes ARE NOT the suspects.)
Two suspects (appear to be slim white males) and the vehicle in which they were traveling (appears to be a dark-colored compact car) were recorded by area surveillance cameras with blurry photos included in this release. A clip of the actual video footage, while of poor resolution, has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the link below: Anyone who recognizes either of these suspects or their vehicle, spots or knows the location of any of the described stolen property, or has any additional information to assist with this investigation is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: https://www.kingsporttn.gov/city-services/police-department/contact-us |
