17-025726 (Fort Henry Drive Walmart on 9/17/2017)

One of these incidents occurred on September 17, 2017 at approximately 8:00 PM at Walmart, located at 3200 Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport. The suspected couple (white male adult and white female adult) arrived together in a compact black sport utility vehicle. There was a bicycle mounted on a rack affixed to the rear of the vehicle.

The couple exited the vehicle and entered the store together. Once inside, the couple mysteriously split up and later suspiciously exited the store separately. While inside the store, the male suspect can be seen on video attempting to use several different credit/debit cards at a self-checkout lane. He was able to make at least one fraudulent purchase for over $200 using what has been determined to be a cloned debit card.

Another incident involving this same couple occurred the following day, September 18, 2017, at another Kingsport Walmart store, located at 2500 West Stone Drive. In this second incident, the exact same couple arrived at the store in two separate vehicles. The male suspect was in the aforementioned compact black SUV with bike rack, while the female suspect was in a full-size white sport utility vehicle.

The couple exited their separate vehicles but met in the parking lot and entered the store together. While inside the store, they made a fraudulent purchase of $150 using what has been determined to be a completely different cloned debit card.

In each of these incidents, the original authentic card was still in the possession of the respective victim. Both victims reportedly found additional fraudulent charges on their cards that were made outside of K.P.D. jurisdiction that are being investigated by other law enforcement agencies.

Photos of these suspects, taken from surveillance video footage, entering together and leaving separately, have been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes either or both of them or the descriptions of either of the two vehicles is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D.
