SUBJECT: Kingsport Police Respond To Shooting in Lynn Garden Community

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On September 14th, 2023, at approximately 11:48 am, Kingsport Police responded to the area of Akers Avenue after a report of shots fired. A person was found on scene suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. That person was taken to a local hospital for treatment. One suspect was found on scene and was detained. This is an active and ongoing investigation. More details will be released at later time.
