Kingsport Public Library hosting Sunshine Tie-Dye event
It’s time to take that plain white t-shirt that’s been sitting in your drawer and turn it into a colorful, work of wearable art.
The Kingsport Public Library will be hosting a Sunshine Tie-Dye event next week in Glen Bruce Park. The free event will take place on July 23 at 6 p.m. Families of all ages are encouraged to attend this free event. No registration is required, and dye will be provided (while supplies last).
Just bring your own item to tie-dye (one item per person) and library staff will help with a one-of-a-kind swirl or scrunch pattern,
This Sunshine Tie-Dye event is a family-friendly activity you and your children (or grandchildren) will enjoy. You can create a unique shirt with your favorite colors, school colors or seasonal/holiday colors. Learn new patterns and share your techniques with your fellow participants.
Then, once you’re done be sure to take photos of you wearing your colorful, new garments and tag the Kingsport Public Library on social media. We’d love to see and showcase your creative talents.
