Kingsport Parks and Recreation offering Mom & Tots exercise classes
Finding time to exercise can sometimes be challenging, especially when you have a young child at home. However, the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is working to make this activity a little easier to take place.
The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is offering free Mom and Tots fitness classes from now through November. The free classes will take place at the V.O. Dobbins, Sr. Complex (301 Louis Street) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursdays from September through November.
Classes are for mothers of all ages and children ages 0 to 5.
Each class is designed to help promote fitness and activities for moms and their younger children, while learning new agilities and drills for motor skill development.
“Not only does exercise improve the physical and mental health of a mother and child, but the classes will also strengthen their bond and instill a positive attitude toward fitness for years to come,” said Recreation Superintendent Chassy Smiley.
