Kingsport offers Autumn Skateboarding Event

The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a special, one-day Autumn Skating event at the Scott Adams Memorial Skatepark (2016 Brickyard Park Drive) later this month.

The free event will take place from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on October 21 and is sponsored by the Woodstock Skate Shop.

Skaters will be able to participate in a skateboarding mini clinic, a trick competition and games and witness a skills demonstration and an exhibition from the Kingsport Parks and Recreation beginner skateboarding class.

Though the event is free, Kingsport Parks and Recreation officials are asking folks to register to know approximately how many people will be showing up.
