Kingsport hosting new “glow” cycling events
The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is hosting two Cycling on the Glow events this fall at the Kingsport Greenbelt.
The free events will take place at the following locations:
- October 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rotherwood Trailhead.
- November 18 at 4:30 p.m. at the Indian Trail Drive Trailhead.
The events are sponsored by Just Ride and Reedy Creek Bicycles.
Participants will need to bring their own helmet and bike and riders are encouraged to decorate their bikes with “fun” lights. A helmet must be worn during the event and your bike must have a front light and rear reflector.
Both events are free, but Kingsport Parks and Recreation officials are asking folks to register to know approximately how many people will be showing up.
