Information Resources: Infrastructure
The City of Kingsport maintains more than 500 miles of streets, 850 miles of water lines and 560 miles of sewer lines. Maintaining, repairing and improving this vital infrastructure is an ongoing job done year-round by hundreds of city employees.
There are several ways the City of Kingsport shares information and updates about its infrastructure, including current projects and those coming soon.
Kingsport Alerts Facebook page
The Kingsport Alerts Facebook page provides news and updates for all residents and visitors. It is updated several times each week and includes infrastructure project updates along with city office closures and fun information about events and activities.
KingsportTN.gov website
There are two informative pages on the KingsportTN.gov website. First, the Current Projects page (found under City Services, Engineering) shows a bulleted list of current projects taking place within the city. Second, the Public Works page (found under City Services) has a wealth of information and links to water, sewer, engineering, transportation planning and more.
PaveKingsport.com website
For all things paving, the PaveKingsport.com website has maps, videos and an FAQ section to educate visitors about the city’s street paving strategy and cycle.
