NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all citizens of the Kingsport Tennessee-Virginia area and the public at large, there will be a Public Meeting of the Kingsport Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization (MTPO) Executive Board on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 1:30 P.M. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and pursuant to Executive Order 34 in Tennessee and HB29 in Virginia, the meeting will be held electronically with no physical access permitted by the public. Executive Board members are not required to be physically present together. Board members attending the meeting by electronic or telephonic means will be counted in the quorum and will be entitled to vote. All votes will be taken by roll call. Copies of the agenda and supporting documentation can be found here. The primary items for this meeting include consideration/approval of the FY21 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for Virginia, Resolution of Support for Scott County Virginia’s Smart Scale Project Application, an Amendment to the FY20-23 TIP, and Amendment to the Executive Board Bylaws. A public hearing will also be held in order to receive comments and questions on these or other items pertaining to the Kingsport Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization. Members of the public can access the meeting by sending an email to MTPO@KingsportTN.gov to request the log in information for the meeting. In order to allow time to respond, your request must be received by 12:00 pm on June 4, 2020. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all citizens of the Kingsport Tennessee-Virginia area and the public at large, there will be a Called Public Meeting of the Kingsport Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization (MTPO) Executive Board on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Kingsport City Hall Council Room at 225 West Center Street in Kingsport, Tennessee. Copies of the agenda, TIP Amendment, and supporting documentation can be found at City Hall, the Kingsport Public Library, and in the MTPO office in the Improvement Building or here. The primary items for this meeting include an amendment to the FY20-23 TIP to add Virginia groupings and projects and review/approval of recommendations for the Interstate 81/40 study. A public hearing will also be held in order to receive comments and questions on these or other items pertaining to the Kingsport Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization.
