Register now for beginner tennis lessons
It’s time to grab your racket, lace up your best pair of tennis shoes and hit the court. Beginning today, the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registrations for its summer tennis lessons.
Three different types of classes will be offered – Adaptive Needs, 10 and Under and 11 and Above. The classes will take place Monday through Thursday at the Borden Park tennis courts.
Schedule of classes and times:
- Adaptive Needs: June 24 to June 27 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Adaptive Needs: July 8 to July 11 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- 10 and Under: June 24 to June 27 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- 10 and Under: July 8 to July 11 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- 11 and Above: June 24 to June 27 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- 11 and Above: July 8 to July 11 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Registration cost is $60 per person. Students will learn the basics of tennis, including hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
