SUBJECT: KPD seeking assistance in locating Runaway Juvenile

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On April 14th, 2024, Kassie Monroe (17 year old female) was reported as a runaway to the Kingsport Police Department and entered into the NCIC database. Monroe voluntarily fled a local group home where she was being housed in state’s custody. The incident has been under investigation since April 14th, with investigators pursuing leads in the case. Investigators have credible information to believe Monroe is actively avoiding law enforcement’s efforts to locate her. She is specifically believed to be in the Knoxville area. She is not believed to be in any imminent danger at this time.
Kassie Monroe is a white female, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing a navy-colored Food City hoodie and blue jeans.

If Kassie is seen outside the Kingsport area, please contact local law enforcement in that jurisdiction immediately.
