Park After Dark returns to Bays Mountain Park
Join Bays Mountain Park later this fall for a Halloween-themed night packed with spooky adventures, nighttime discoveries and plenty of family-friendly fun.
Park After Dark 2026 will be a one-of-a-kind celebration taking place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on October 24. Guests will enjoy moonlight walks, barge rides, stargazing, trick-or-treating and a Halloween-themed laser show in the planetarium.
Visit the animal habitats for a unique trick-or-treating experience with our animal ambassadors, then get creative by painting your own Halloween pumpkin to take home. Finally, gather at the wolf habitat to hear about wolf folklore and end the night with a howl.
Food trucks will also be on-site serving up delicious treats and refreshments for the whole family to enjoy. So, come in costume, bring your flashlight and get ready for a night of Halloween fun in the great outdoors.
“With glowing stars, spooky sights and plenty of Halloween surprises, there’s going to be something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s Park After Dark,” said Miranda Wanninger, chief ranger of visitor engagement.
Price Bundles:
- Bat Pass $30 – includes one barge ride, one laser show, one pumpkin to paint, trick-or-treating and a hot drink station.
- Moth Pass $25 – includes one barge ride, one laser show, trick-or-treating and a hot drink station.
- Wolf Pass $10 – includes trick-or-treating and a hot drink station. Add a barge ride for $6, a laser show for $10 and/or paint a pumpkin for $5.
Event Highlights:
- Sunset Barge Ride times: 5 p.m.; 6 p.m.
- “Fright Night” laser show times: 5 p.m.; 6 p.m.
- Paint a Pumpkin craft table: any time between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
- StarWatch: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Tickets are required for entry to all Park After Dark programs and guests must show proof of ticket purchase (digital or printed). Gate entry fee is free to Park after Dark participants. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance as many programs have limited capacity.
Add-on experiences depend on ticket availability and may be purchased the day of the event. Bays Mountain Park members receive a 10% discount on all bundle passes.
