Kingsport’s Circle Gallery Spotlight – Outdoor Inspirations

Kingsport Cultural Arts is pleased to announce its latest exhibit at The Circle Gallery – Outdoor Inspirations.

This exhibit features more than a dozen paintings from five local plein air artists – Brenda Bundrant, Matt Conrad, Gail Greenoe, Kathy Hawk and JoAnne McDonough.

These are artists who love painting outdoors, taking the easel directly to the park, the lake or the city street to pull inspiration from the natural light and atmosphere.

Painting in the open air, en plein air, has become a major movement in the art world in recent years, with events and organizations around the country promoting this painting style.

The artists featured in The Circle Gallery belong to an East Tennessee group called Just Plein Nuts, and they paint at outdoor locations around the region. The artists are also members of the Kingsport Art Guild.

The Circle Gallery is located on the first floor of Kingsport City Hall (415 Broad Street) and Outdoor Inspirations will be on display until December 18. The Circle Gallery is brought to you by Kingsport Cultural Arts.
