Kingsport Parks and Recreation offers Lunchtime Walking Club

The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Lunchtime Walking Club for the next seven weeks to encourage folks to stand up, get moving and stay active throughout the year.

The Lunchtime Walking Club will take place on Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. from September 3 through October 15. The program is free; no registration is required and is open to walkers of all ages.

Simply show up at the Kingsport Greenbelt parking area at Riverfront Park with your best pair of walking shoes and enjoy a stroll along the Holston River.

“Join us for a lunchtime walk along the greenbelt this fall and let’s all walk for better health together,” said Program Leader Michael Brosenne.
