Kingsport announces Island Road Resurfacing Project

The City of Kingsport is pleased to announce Island Road – from Memorial Boulevard to Golf Ridge Drive – is scheduled to be resurfaced this month.

Summers-Taylor Inc. will be the contractor performing the work for the City of Kingsport. The cost of the project is approximately $383,000 and the contract for the work is 90 days.

The contractor is planning to mobilize October 12 with the work taking place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Flaggers will be on site; motorists can expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
