Street resurfacing work to begin on Monday

Street resurfacing work is scheduled to begin Monday on portions of Deneen Lane and Tidewater Court.

W&L Construction is the contractor performing this work for the City of Kingsport and the anticipated work hours are from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day.

Work is scheduled to begin Monday (May 11) on Tidewater Court. Once complete, W&L will transition its crews to Deneen Lane.

Tidewater will be repaved from State Route 93 to Kingsgate Crossing, while Deneen will be repaved from State Route 1 (Stone Drive) to the entrance way where Lowe’s and Walmart align.

This $314,000 project is slated to be completed by the end of May.

Motorists are urged to slow down, obey all warnings and use caution while traveling in these work zones.
