Christmas in Kingsport continues this week with a musical performance in Centennial Park, a visit from Santa and the Grinch and the return of an amazing Live Nativity performance around Church Circle.
These holiday events are just the spark you need to get your family into the Christmas spirit this year.
This is Kingsport has partnered with the Downtown Kingsport Association to bring you the best holiday events this year. Here are just a few happening in downtown Kingsport this week.
The Kingsport Carousel will host Twilight Carousel Rides from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on December 11 – $1 per ride. Enjoy a magical holiday evening riding the carousel, surrounded by beautiful Christmas lights.
The Symphony Of The Mountains Brass Quartet Christmas Concert will take place at Centennial Park on December 12 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy the sounds of the holiday season with an amazing performance by our region’s own symphony quartet. Magical snow will also be falling and will be sure to help get you in the Christmas spirit.
The Grinch & Santa Claus will be paying the Model City a visit on December 13 at Glen Bruce Park from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Spend some time with Santa but be careful of the wily Grinch lurking around. Enjoy some hot chocolate while enjoying the magical snow that’s certain to fall.
Allandale Mansion will host its annual Christmas Tours on December 13 (from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and on December 14 (from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.). The cost is $5 per person ages 12 and older and free admission to children under 12. Tickets will be available online (www.kingsporttn.gov) and at the door.
The annual Live Nativity at Church Circle will take place on December 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Experience the wonder of the Christmas story at the Live Nativity. Gather with family and friends for this special tradition, bringing the spirit of the season to life in the heart of Kingsport.
In what has become a popular tradition in downtown Kingsport, Christmas in the Park has returned this year and promises to be as festive and picturesque as ever before. Throughout the month of December, more than 100 Christmas trees – decorated by local businesses, individuals and city departments – will be on display in Glen Bruce Park and Centennial Park.
