Summer Programs for Kids
If you’re looking for something for your children to do this summer that doesn’t involve a screen, then Kingsport’s Parks and Recreation Division has just the answer – summer camp.
You still have time to register your elementary and middle school-aged children for the city’s summer camp program. Here, your kids will participate in games, crafts, outdoor activities, sports and swimming trips throughout the summer. All you need to do is register.
The summer camp program is open to children ages 6-12 and will be held at four city locations – Lincoln Elementary, Adams Elementary, the V.O. Dobbins Sr., Center and the Lynn View Community Center.
To register for a specific location, stop by V.O. Dobbins (301 Louis Street) or go online to www.kingsportparksandrecreation.org. Summer camp runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day and the cost and the dates for the sessions are as follows:
