Ride safely and confidently with Cycle Kids program
Kingsport Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce a new program aimed at teaching kids how to ride a bicycle safely and confidently.
The program is called Cycle Kids and it’s sponsored by Reedy Creek Bicycle Shop and Just Ride Bikes & Fitness TN. The four-week program runs from June 15 through July 6 with each session going from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Children ages 2 to 8 can participate at the cost of $15 per person. The sessions will take place at the parking lot located at 123 Cherokee Street. Cyclists will need to bring their own helmet and bicycle. (Some bicycles will be available onsite, but we encourage everyone to bring their own).
To register for these classes, click on the CivicRec link in the Connect Kingsport app or go to www.kingsporttn.gov and click on the “CivicRec” link, then search for “cycle kids” in the search bar.
