SUBJECT:  Vehicle Strikes Restaurant Over Weekend

GENERAL NARRATIVE

On April 21^st, 2024, at approximately 5:45 pm, Kingsport Police Officers responded to La Caretta at 1336 S. John B. Dennis Highway in reference to a vehicle crashing into the business. Officers arrived and found a 2017 gray Kia Sedona with front damage resting against the business. Through their investigation, Officers learned that Joyce Noto was driving the Kia Sedona and was attempting to park in parking stall when she struck the business. Noto stated that her brakes had not functioned properly while she was attempting to park. No injuries were reported at the scene.  

 

The damage to La Caretta is estimated to be between $15,000 and $20,000. Damage to the Kia Sedona was estimated to be around $5,000.
