| SUBJECT: | Suspects Sought for Throwing Concrete Block Through Door of Convenience Store | ||

| GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
| On May 1, 2017 at approximately 3:05 AM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to an alarm at the Sunoco gas station and convenience store, located at 828 West Center Street in Kingsport. Upon arrival, the officers observed the front door to be shattered with the remains of a concrete block found in the immediate vicinity.
The manager arrived shortly thereafter and reviewed surveillance video footage. At 3:01 AM on the footage, two unidentified suspects were observed to have approached the front door, thrown the concrete block through the door, and fled on foot. The damage they caused was estimated to be in excess of $1,100. The suspects appeared to most likely be in their late teens to early 20s and were dressed in blue jeans and ball caps. They had their t-shirts removed and placed over their faces to conceal their identities. Three clips from the video, one of which shows the actual crime, have been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the links below: A photo of the suspect taken from that footage has been included in this release.
