| GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
| On November 11, 2019 at approximately 1:45 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to the parking lot of Texas Roadhouse, located at 1221 East Stone Drive in Kingsport, in reference to a collision involving a pedestrian. Due to the seriousness of injuries involved, Crash Reconstructionists assigned to the K.P.D. Traffic Unit responded to assist with the investigation. The findings thus far are as follows:
A pedestrian, Brenda K. Quillen (61 year old white/female adult of Kingsport), was walking in the parking lot when she was struck by a red 2013 Ford F-350 full-size 4-door heavy-duty pickup, driven and solely occupied by Dannie H. Moody (77 year old white/male adult of Kingsport), that was traveling through the lot at what appears to have been a slow rate-of-speed. Following the initial impact, Ms. Quillen was knocked to the pavement and pinned beneath the truck. She was transported by Sullivan County EMS to an area hospital for emergency medical treatment of serious incapacitating injuries. As of the time of issuance of this news release, she remains hospitalized in critical condition. As this collision remains under active investigation by the Kingsport Police Department, no further information will be released at this time. |
