As previously released:
On July 19th, 2024, at approximately 4:45 am, Kingsport Police Officers responded to a crash with injuries on S John B. Dennis Highway just south of Fort Henry Drive. Investigating Officers determined that a 2013 blue Ford Focus, driven by Noah Pence of Kingsport, was traveling south on S. John B. Dennis Highway and struck a bridge railing on the left side of the roadway for reasons unknown at this time. The driver of the Ford Focus overcorrected the vehicle and struck a 2009 gray Mazda 3, driven by Roy D. Sullivan of Kingsport on its driver’s side. The blue Focus then left the roadway on the right side of John B. Dennis and struck a tree. As a result of the impact with the tree, the Focus caught fire.
