On May 18, 2018 at approximately 7:45 PM, a black male suspect entered CVS Pharmacy, located at 4106 Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport, and approached the pharmacy counter. The suspect told the customer service representative that he had a gun, raised his shirt to indicate that he had a gun tucked in his waistband, and demanded a specific type of opiate based pain medication.

Attempts to immediately locate the suspect by responding officers proved unsuccessful. Images of the suspect, taken from surveillance video footage, have been included in this release.
