| The following missing person news release was originally issued on May 30, 2019. This has remained an active and ongoing investigation since that time; however, Ronnie D. Herring is still missing and all leads have been exhausted.
Anyone who sees him or who may know his current whereabouts is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: https://www.kingsporttn.gov/city-services/police-department/contact-us As previously released: On May 22, 2019 at approximately 5:00 PM, Ronnie D. Herring was reported as a missing person to the Kingsport Police Department by his sister. She advised that nobody in her family had seen or heard from him since December 2018. She stated that he is currently homeless, but typically frequents the Downtown and Lynn Garden areas of Kingsport. There is also reason to believe that he may have possibly traveled to Miami, Florida. Mr. Herring is a 47 year old white male adult with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs roughly 200 pounds. A photograph of Mr. Herring is included with this release.
