GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
On March 10, 2017 an 84 year old resident of Kingsport reported her Eastman Credit Union debit card missing to the Kingsport Police Department. The card had left her possession under unknown circumstances and has since been canceled.
Upon contacting ECU, she learned that the card had been used without her consent to make fraudulent purchases on at least seven different occasions. Five of these charges occurred on March 6, 2017 alone and totaled nearly $800. A sixth charge occurred on March 8, 2017 for $5. The final charge occurred on March 9, 2017 for $7.13 at FasMart #470, located at 817 Lynn Garden Drive in Kingsport. A white male suspect was captured on store surveillance footage during that final transaction, and a photograph taken from that footage has been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: https://www.kingsporttn.gov/city-services/police-department/contact-us |
