Kingsport Police Department Detectives are soliciting citizen tips in a construction site theft investigation.
Officers were called to the construction site of The Blake Assisted Living Center, located at 3308 Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport. Sometime between 1:30 PM on April 7, 2018 and 7:30 AM on April 8, 2018 a white Homesteader box-style utility trailer was stolen from the site. The trailer itself had a value of approximately $1,300, but at the time it was stolen, it housed nearly $4,000 in tools. The list of stolen tools includes, but is not necessarily limited to, four (4) Hitachi nail guns, a Milwaukee nail gun, a Hitachi drill, and a Hitachi air compressor. At the time it was stolen, the trailer displayed Oklahoma license plate number 8P3938. The “Homesteader” logo was also prominently displayed on the rear of the trailer. Photos of the trailer and the logo are included in this release. Anyone who has any information which may help lead Detectives to any of the stolen property or a potential suspect is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: https://www.kingsporttn.gov/city-services/police-department/contact-us |
