SUBJECT: | Detectives Seeking Identity of Suspect in Indecent Exposure Investigation | ||
DATE: | August 24, 2018 | ||
CASE #: | 18-022305 | ||
GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
On July 31, 2018 at approximately 2:00 PM, two female employees of Walmart, located at 2500 West Stone Drive in Kingsport, had temporarily closed and barricaded off the public men’s restroom at the front of the store for cleaning. While they were in the restroom cleaning, a white male suspect deliberately moved the barricade and entered the closed restroom.
As soon as he entered, the ladies told the man that the restroom was temporarily closed for cleaning, and politely asked him to either wait outside a moment until they finished or use an alternate men’s room located at the rear of the store. The man ignored their request and proceeded to the urinal. While standing at the urinal, the man turned and faced the ladies and deliberately exposed his genitals to them. He then turned back to face the urinal, used the restroom, and eventually left the store. A photo of the suspect, taken from store surveillance video, has been included with this release. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
