DATE: | October 5, 2020 | ||
CASE #: | 20-020409 | ||
GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
On September 24, 2020 at approximately 5:00 PM, two suspects (one white male adult, one white female adult) shoplifted several articles of clothing (approximately $300 value) from Dunham’s Sports in the Fort Henry Mall, located at 2101 Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport. The suspects retreated to a “beat up” older model Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was waiting for them just outside the store entrance.
That vehicle was driven by separate white female adult accomplice. When an employee approached the vehicle and attempted to detain the suspects, the driver accelerated, striking the employee and knocking him to the ground resulting in minor injuries. The suspects then fled the scene. Photos of the shoplifting suspects, captured on store surveillance video, have been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes either of them, or the description of their getaway vehicle, is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
