Kingsport Public Library hosting Spelling Bee competition

Spelling bees can be a fun and thrilling experience for children of all ages. These types of competitions can improve your spelling and vocabulary, enhance your concentration and memory while boosting your confidence under pressure.

In essence, spelling bees not only support academic and cognitive growth but also personal and social development.

As such, the Kingsport Public Library will be hosting a free spelling bee on September 18 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the library’s Fort Henry Mall location. The spelling bee will feature three categories – grades 3 to 5; grades 6 to 8; and grades 9 to 12.

The event will include one grand prize winner, and all participants will receive small prizes.
