SUBJECT: Kingsport Police Respond to Gunfire

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, at approximately 06:00 hours, officers with the Kingsport Police Department responded to a report of gunfire at an address on Monterey Avenue. Upon arrival, officers determined that thirty-three (33) year-old Greggory Hatcher was shooting a firearm inside the residence. Greggory was given commands to exit the house and complied with the officers. Greggory was then placed under arrest and transported to the Kingsport City Jail. Greggory was charged with one (1) count of Reckless Endangerment. This is an ongoing investigation, and no other information will be released at this time.
