Kingsport Parks and Recreation offering Youth Baseball Camp

Kingsport Parks and Recreation is offering a Youth Baseball Camp at Domtar Park (1414 Riverport Road) on August 15.

During this one-day camp, participants will perform a series of skills and drills focusing on key aspects of the game such as batting, fielding, throwing and base-running. Participants will also engage in structured drills aimed at enhancing technique, coordination and game awareness.

The camp is for participants ages 7 to 13 and will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on August 15 at Domtar Park. The cost is $30 for city residents and $35 for non-city residents.

“The camp emphasizes skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship,” said Program Administrator Jason Wilburn. “Which makes it ideal for both beginners looking to learn the basics of baseball and more advanced players seeking to refine their abilities.”
